South America is the fourth largest continent in the world and consists of 12 countries. It's home to 420 million people and is located mostly in the southern hemisphere. Brazil is by far the most populous country in South America and more than half of the continent's population lives there.

South America is a very interesting continent and has a lot to offer like the world's highest capital La Paz in Bolivia, the world's driest place Atacama Desert in Chile to the worlds largest tropical jungle the Amazon. And if that wasn't enough, South America is also home to the world's longest mountain range the Andes, the worlds highest waterfall Angel Falls in Venezuela and the old Inca city Machu Picchu.
