Big Island
Big Island also known as Hawaii is the largest and youngest island in the state of Hawaiʻi. There is a lot of myths and legends in Hawaii and legend says that the volcano godess Pele and the demi-god Kampaua'a (whom could control the weather) made a deal to make The Big Islands west side dry and the east side wet. Pele took the west side and Kampaua'a the east half.

Best time to visit: The Big Island has a tropical and warm climate all year around. During April-May and August-November the weather is still good but it's less crowded and prices are lower.

The big island of Hawaii is the worldwide leader in harvesting macadamia nuts and orchids.
One of the four green sand beaches in the world is located on The Big Island.
Mauna Kea is the tallest sea mountain in the world and if measured from the ocean bottom it's 1220m taller than Mount Everest.
