By accident i stumbled across pictures of this amazing waterfall and I was surprised that it was in Thailand, how can I have missed this? I did some research and saw it was close to Kanchanaburi and decided to have a break from Bangkok and go out to the countryside for some adventures. Click here to read how you get to Kanchanaburi.
Erawan falls
The Erawan National Park is home to what could be Thailands most beautiful waterfalls and also consists of a handful limestone caves. There are seven levels of waterfalls and to get to the seventh waterfall takes approximately an hours but definitely worth the hike. You can swim in the waterfalls and you will be accompanied by small fishes swimming around you, they will try to eat dead skin from you if you're still. Takes a little to get used to it.
How to get there?
Rent a scooter: Many hostels and shops in Kanchanaburi have scooters to rent and prices starts at 100-450 baht (3.5-15$) a day depending on which kind of scooter you want. The roads are good and it takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to drive there.
Bus: There are busses leaving from Kanchanaburi to the waterfalls between 08.00-17.50 and busses back runs between 05.20-17.00. The bus costs 50 baht (1.70$)

Best time to visit:
The best time for the falls are between September to December, just after rainy season and just before dry season. Get there early to enjoy the waterfalls with less people, we spend the whole day there. Bring mosquito spray and water.
